Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Equipment Operator to join our team at Ferrovial. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets through the operation and use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including snow plows, graders, and mowers, to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
  • Perform routine and non-routine tasks, including snow removal, sanding, and other seasonal maintenance activities.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing demands and priorities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and safety protocols are in place.
  • Perform basic mathematical functions and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of related work experience in construction, road maintenance, or commercial/industrial repair, with a valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with the ability to use manual and powered tools and equipment.
