About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Passage to India Restaurant. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Plan and organize daily restaurant operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
    • Balance cash and complete financial reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to improve performance.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation, including social media and advertising campaigns.
    • Negotiate with clients for catering and event services.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Operate electronic cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
    • Use MS Office and other software applications to manage restaurant operations.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
    • Stand for long periods, walk, and lift heavy objects as required.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
