Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Young Pocha Korean BBQ Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
    • Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Implement and maintain strict food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for service.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent waste and minimize losses.
  • Work Schedules and Staffing
    • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that the kitchen is adequately staffed during peak periods.
    • Monitor staff attendance and performance, and take disciplinary action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a food service management role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to train and develop staff members.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
