We are seeking a highly skilled Community Development Coordinator to lead the Main Street Area Action plan, facilitating connections, collaboration, and communication among stakeholders to advance the plan's shared objectives.

The successful candidate will organize meetings, events, and activities, develop a budget for implementing the plan, and serve as the public face of the community, representing its interests to external stakeholders.

The Main Street Area Action plan is a community-led initiative formed by over 130 stakeholders to support the revitalization of the Main and Higgins area.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in human/social services, city planning, or a related field, and experience working with people who have experienced trauma, colonization, and residential schools.

They will also possess knowledge of issues impacting homelessness, mental health, and addiction, as well as experience in Truth and Reconciliation calls to action, UNDRIP, and MMIWG calls to justice.

The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, lead and energize teams, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

They will also have strong computer technology skills, including Microsoft Office, and be able to work flexible hours.

A Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Checks will be required.
