Job Overview

Scotiabank is seeking an experienced Income Department Manager to lead our Lending Services team in Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of our Income department by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives in support of our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to loan growth and profitability by verifying income details and documentation from dealers, determining customer affordability, and reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activities.
  • Suggest improvements to workflows that provide efficient operations and meet service standards, including reviewing escalations and assisting with coaching new and existing team members.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness by reviewing and reporting daily/weekly/monthly stats for the department.
  • Implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and communicating vision and values.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service capacity utilizing the telephone as the primary means of communication is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may occur at times.

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
