Emterra Environmental is seeking a reliable Loader to join the Cumberland Curbside Team.

The Driver and you will work as a team to ensure your route is completed on schedule, and waste/recycling is collected, transported, and disposed of in the prescribed manner. This position reports to the Adams Route Supervisor.

As a Loader, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Collecting curbside materials from residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities
  • Maintaining daily records of pick-ups
  • Performing repetitive tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 55lbs/25 kgs)
  • Observing safe work practices
  • Working in all-weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, or snow)
  • Picking up refuse in other areas as required
  • Disposing of curbside collections according to set policies and procedures

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Punctuality, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • A safety-minded approach to daily tasks
  • Clientservice and public interaction skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records
