**Summary**

The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a hygienic and comfortable environment for both pets and clients. Cleaners perform daily cleaning duties ranging from kennel sanitation, waste removal, and general store upkeep. The Cleaner also collaborates with the Pet Care Specialists, ensuring that the premises remain conducive for the animals' welfare and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail, a commitment to hygiene standards, and a passion for animal welfare are fundamental for this role.

**Schedule**

We are currently looking for help two different shifts

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 7:00am to 12:00pm

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 7:00am to 12:00pm

**Responsibilities**:
Conduct thorough cleaning of all areas within the facility to ensure a sanitary environment for pets and staff.

Sanitize and clean indoor kennels and outdoor runs, including pressure washing when necessary.

Remove pet waste promptly to prevent any health risks.

Assist in general facility maintenance tasks like vacuuming, mopping, dishes, laundry, and yard upkeep.

Ensure the comfort of pets by checking and replacing bedding when needed.

Collaborate closely with the Pet Care Specialists in noting any irregularities or concerning pet behaviors observed during cleaning.

Engage with clients during check-in and pick-up times, ensuring a smooth experience for them.

Assist in inventory management by ensuring cleaning and other related supplies are well-stocked.

Learn basic information about pet specialty retail products to better inform clients or assist them when necessary.

Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

**Job Qualifications**

Genuine passion for animals and an understanding of their well-being needs.

Highly motivated, energetic, and able to keep up with the demands of a busy kennel environment.

Proficient multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Strong attention to detail, particularly when monitoring the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.

Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds when necessary.

Stamina to stand and work actively for up to 8 hours.

Familiarity or willingness to learn basic computer software, including Microsoft Office and specific kennel management tools.

Flexible schedule

Previous cleaning or kennel experience would be a plus, but not essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour
