Job Title: Academic and Operations Officer

ASM Global at Meridian Centre and Canada Games Park is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic and Operations Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our venues, including the Meridian Centre and Canada Games Park.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the venues, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Coordinate with event contractors and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant professional discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in supervising or managing in a similar facilities environment.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial resources effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • TSSA Refrigeration Operator class B certificate.
  • Certified Ice Technician.
