Construction Project Supervisor

The City of Brantford is in search of a committed Construction Project Supervisor to become a vital part of our innovative team. Situated in a scenic area, Brantford provides a charming backdrop along the Grand River, with convenient access to key regions. In the capacity of Construction Project Supervisor, you will manage a team of inspectors and operators responsible for municipal linear infrastructure initiatives. This position entails offering direction on project oversight, engaging in negotiations with contractors, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction activities and site management for capital initiatives
  • Support project scheduling and financial oversight
  • Engage in negotiations with contractors and consultants
  • Draft procurement documents for construction
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience in construction and inspection of infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with applicable legislation and standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Experience in a supervisory role
