About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist, Immunology to join our team at the BC Cancer Research Institute. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for developing an independent research program in the general areas of basic and translational immunology, immunotherapy, and cancer biology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research studies to investigate the mechanisms of immune cells and their role in cancer biology
  • Develop and implement novel immunotherapy approaches to treat cancer
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to translate research findings into clinical practice
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows
  • Participate in the development of research proposals and grant applications
Requirements
  • PhD in immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, experimental oncology, or a related field
  • Postdoctoral training in immunology research
  • Strong record of research productivity in the field of immunology
  • Clear vision for an independent research program
  • Ability to collaborate with other researchers and clinicians
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
