About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist, Immunology Specialist to join our team at the BC Cancer Research Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing an independent research program in the general areas of basic and translational immunology, immunotherapy, and cancer biology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research studies to investigate the mechanisms of immune cells and their role in cancer biology
  • Develop and implement novel immunotherapy approaches to treat cancer
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to translate research findings into clinical practice
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows
  • Participate in the development of research proposals and grant applications
Requirements
  • PhD in immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, experimental oncology, or a related field
  • Postdoctoral training in immunology research
  • Strong record of research productivity and a clear vision for an independent research program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
