Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading new launch programs, evaluating and updating tooling sources, and providing technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage new launch programs from inception to completion, developing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Evaluate and update new and existing tool sources within the facility, ensuring all tooling meets company standards and customer requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful program launches.
- Track program changes and document all modifications, providing technical assistance to customers, program managers, and operations teams.
- Manage all tooling programs post-PPAP to ensure ongoing production meets specifications.
- Oversee tooling maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as necessary, monitoring tooling performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a technical management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a steel blanking facility.
- Extensive experience with tooling programs and new launch projects.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and other automotive quality processes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of tooling processes, steel blanking, and manufacturing operations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Project Management: Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
