We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Shawnessy South Animal Hospital in Calgary, AB.

Job Description:

In this support role, you will create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents, answering multiline phone systems and tracking appointments effectively. You will also place outbound calls to pet owners for follow-up and future bookings, respond to email correspondence, and manage client messages.

  • Admit and discharge pet patients
  • Process payments, invoices, and estimates
  • Maintain the cleanliness of reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces
  • Liaise with veterinary staff on various tasks and treatments

You will have the opportunity to learn more about veterinary services, medical office procedures, and develop your skills in customer service and front desk experience.

Requirements:

No prior experience with animals is necessary as long as you love pets. Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an asset.
