Job Overview

Mukima Logistics Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 CAD, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a health care plan and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities

As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Ordering parts and maintaining inventory
  • Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Keeping maintenance reports and documentation
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work
  • Performing repair work on heavy trucks
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of heavy equipment mechanics and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and powered equipment repair
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Work Environment

You will be working in a physically demanding environment, requiring frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. You must be able to stand for extended periods and have good hand-eye coordination.
