Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Administrative Officer to join our team at Diagnostiks Medical Group Inc. This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial and personnel management of our medical office and other facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration and be able to coordinate all facets of health care delivery, including finances, staffing, and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review practice budgets and manage funding to ensure efficient and economical health care services.
  • Oversee staffing needs, including physician and provider recruitment, to ensure a high-quality patient care experience.
  • Review all office contracting, including professional staff, insurance/reimbursement contracts, and hospital call/reimbursement contracts, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Organize delivery of patient care in multiple office locations, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Plan provider and staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and minimize wait times.
  • Manage patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and author office policy, including government compliance within HIPAA, and other regulations, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Develop, implement, and author human resource and office procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Assess practice management computer systems, review new software and hardware products, and develop training schedules for staff to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Work closely with practice leadership to develop the Office Revenue Cycle policy, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
  • Develop billing and collection policies for patient accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing bad debt.
  • Monitor reimbursements from MB Health and applicable jurisdiction, look for trends, and attend network meetings to stay up to date on policy changes.
  • Assess IT requirements and contract or hire qualified individuals to manage office network and server issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Develop marketing plans to attract new patients and promote our services.
  • Sit on a panel of interviewers for clinical assistant applicants, ensuring we hire the best candidates for our team.
  • Liaise with Manitoba Health/Shared Health, Doctors Manitoba, and the College of Manitoba Physicians and Surgeons regarding clarification/interpretation of government directives, compliance with professional body regulations, etc.
  • Liaise with community organizations and the general public to promote our services and build relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or in business administration (minimum educational requirement).
  • Preference will be given to applicants with master's degree in business administration or in a health-related discipline.
  • Prior experience as Medical doctor with international exposure is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with multi-lingual ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed
