Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at All Canada Contracting & Renovation Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, and schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
- Construction and Installation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials, and fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Support for Youths: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, and offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Support for Veterans: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
