About the Role

GILCO TRANSPORT LTD. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our operations team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the operations team, including preparing reports, managing files, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Office Management: Oversee the maintenance of our office, including coordinating with vendors, managing supplies, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between departments, responding to inquiries, and providing information to employees and external stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of projects, including coordinating with team members, managing timelines, and ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll administration, including processing payroll, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees, as well as awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, flexibility, organized, and reliability.
