About the Role


This role is part of the Growth Design team, responsible for designing products that help new users onboard with Stripe and take their first steps with our tools. You'll work closely with marketing, brand, and dashboard teams to create seamless experiences for users signing up and activating their accounts.



Your Responsibilities



  • Design industry-leading onboarding journeys that reduce friction for new users
  • Understand Stripe's product suite, customer needs, and AI/ML developments that influence growth strategies
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects across the Growth team, including customer acquisition, conversion, and retention experiences
  • Apply design principles to growth projects and track progress toward user experience goals
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design, build, and launch user-facing product experiences
  • Support partner teams' growth and onboarding needs
  • Partner with user research teams and participate in ongoing research projects
  • Share your work regularly with design and company leadership through design reviews


Requirements and Qualifications



  • 3+ years of relevant design experience in a tech or product-driven company
  • Experience designing onboarding journeys, product demos, or other growth-related domains
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to align stakeholders
  • Able to work independently with significant autonomy and responsibility

  • Ability to simplify complex problems into balanced solutions
  • Deep curiosity about how things work and willingness to get hands-on
  • Experience with A/B testing or analytical/data-driven design contexts
  • Comfortable explaining work and decisions to stakeholders and seeking feedback
  • Loves working with designers to help them learn and grow
  • Uncompromisingly service-minded toward users and colleagues, with prioritization skills


Hybrid Work at Stripe


This role can be performed from an office or remote location (at least 35 miles away from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users.



Compensation and Benefits


The annual US base salary range for this role is $127,400 - $191,100. Additional benefits include equity, a company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
