Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to individuals with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services to patients with critical care needs
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications
  • Lead the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge
  • Maintain and provide proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
Requirements
  • Recent, related experience is required
  • Current ICU experience is preferred
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program is required
  • Successful completion of the Winnipeg Critical Care Nursing Education Program or equivalent ICU program/training is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba, is preferred
  • Basic Life Support training at the Healthcare Provider level is required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support training is an asset
Working Conditions

Good physical and mental health is required. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required.
