We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our MICU unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and report patient vital signs and changes in condition.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Document patient care and progress in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
- Recent experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an MICU setting.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
