Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Resource Team is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with complex health needs. This role involves independent nursing practices, administering prescribed medical treatments, and taking a leadership position within the healthcare team. The RN will also coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge processes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage and execute prescribed medical treatments and interventions.
- Participate in patient care planning and discharge coordination.
- Completion of a postgraduate course in ICU nursing or equivalent practical experience is essential.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba is mandatory.
- Active involvement in professional nursing associations is preferred.
- Annual Basic Life Support (BLS) Level C certification is required.
- Understanding of the scope of practice as outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act.
- Consideration may be given to applicants who do not meet all qualifications.
Additional Requirements
This position necessitates a satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, as well as checks for Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registries. The successful candidate will bear any associated service charges.
