Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team at Johnston Equipment. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for consulting with customers on their material handling, storage, and automated systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute creative prospecting strategies to secure new customers and generate revenue through sales activities.
  • Persevere throughout an often lengthy sales process, fully understanding customer expectations and educating clients on Johnston Equipment's line of products.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, engineers, designers, installers, and customers to ensure project timelines and expectations are successfully met.
  • Generate revenue through sales activities working towards targets and department objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in B2B outside sales, preferably in business development, lead generation, outbound calling, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with managers, executives, and peers.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, and a professional attitude.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, a can-do attitude, results-driven mindset, and the ability to achieve set targets.
  • Polished customer service skills and the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work with strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
