Hastings Racecourse & Casino is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Track Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our track equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our racing and gaming facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on track equipment, including trucks, tractors, and other machinery
  • Conduct regular inspections of track surfaces and equipment to identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Proven ability to drive and maneuver heavy trucks and tractors safely
  • Experience with vehicular maintenance and repairs
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
