Track Maintenance Technician

Hastings Racecourse & Casino is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Track Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our racetrack and related facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on track equipment, including trucks and tractors
  • Conduct barn and track-area related repairs, maintenance, and clean-up as required
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive heavy trucks and tractors
  • Proven ability to perform vehicular maintenance and repairs
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of racetrack surfaces and WHMIS an asset
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills
