Global Civil Contractor Seeking Experienced Superintendent

We are excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role, offering a competitive salary of $130,000 - $170,000.

Job Overview:
  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience as a Field Superintendent in the earthworks / utilities / foundations / heavy-civil construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and supervise workers, ensuring the successful execution of civil and infrastructure projects in Vancouver;
  • Coordinate assigned work with in-house trades, subcontractors, and company departments, guaranteeing compliance with project requirements;
  • Conduct project safety meetings and enforce adherence to the project safety program, promoting a safe working environment;
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach direct reports, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and technical work requirements;
  • Provide liaison between field engineering, estimating, and trade to ensure that construction is carried out according to plans and specifications;
  • Inspect work areas to determine type of work required, materials, and equipment needed;
  • Coordinate and execute mobilization efforts and job site setup, ensuring efficient project delivery;
  • Resolve construction problems and constructability challenges as required, minimizing delays and costs;
  • Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedules are maintained throughout assigned projects;
  • Assist with scheduling and cost estimate preparation, providing valuable insights for future projects;
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Field Superintendent in the specified industry;
  • Able to manage multiple smaller projects simultaneously or one large-scale project;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and other relevant tools;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Ability to read and interpret project schedules, engineering plans, and specifications;
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills and excellent communication abilities;
