Event Coordinator Job Description

At Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat, we are seeking a skilled Event Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating various events, including conferences, meetings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and manage budgets
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events
  • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Develop financial procedures and determine requirements for hospitality services
  • Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  • Plan schedules, goals and objectives and develop registration systems
  • Plan for traffic and crowd control and security
  • Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent position
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
  • English language
