Event Coordinator

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, conferences, and meetings from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Planning: Assist in preparing financial reports, promote conference and meeting services or special events, and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
- Logistics: Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services.
- Coordination: Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details, co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
- Financial Management: Prepare, present, and manage budgets, develop financial procedures, and prepare final financial and other reports.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Skills: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, attention to detail, work under pressure, tight deadlines, fast-paced environment, accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, team player.
