Event Coordinator

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, conferences, and meetings.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management: Assist in preparing financial reports, manage budgets, and develop financial procedures.
- Event Coordination: Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, arrange for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services.
- Logistics: Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services, manage event logistics, and ensure smooth execution of events.
- Communication: Develop registration systems and information materials, plan for social events and guest programs, and ensure excellent oral and written communication.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to achieve event goals and objectives.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Skills: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, attention to detail, work under pressure, tight deadlines, fast-paced environment, accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, team player.
