Job Summary
Graymont Limited is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Production Supervisor at our facility. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to improve processes in the industrial minerals industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the entire production process, emphasizing effectiveness, safety, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop an effective workforce, working well with other functions, including maintenance, sales, HR, engineering, and HSE.
- Communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure best solutions and engineering practices are implemented.
- Participate in process improvements and implementations, and coordinate work with contractors and vendors.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of corrective solutions for equipment failure or process upsets.
- Participate in day-to-day plant environmental compliance and reporting.
- Work with inventory management, JDE Reports, and Work Order systems.
- Take an active role in the plant safety committee.
Requirements
- Relevant college degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
- Proven teambuilding and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines or resolve plant problems.
- Passion for implementing process improvements.
- Strong computer skills, with JDE experience an asset.
- Basic financial management skills, including analysis, budgeting, and planning.
- English working environment, with French bilingualism an asset.
