Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entire production process, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop an effective engaged workforce within the plant.
  • Communicate across plant functional lines and non-plant resources to ensure best solutions and engineering practices are implemented.
  • Participate in process improvements and implementations.
  • Coordinate and supervise work provided by contractors and vendors.
  • Perform on-call duties on rotation with the management team.
  • Participate in day-to-day plant environmental compliance and reporting.
  • Work with managing inventory, JDE Reports, and Work Order system.
  • Take an active role in the plant safety committee.

Requirements

  • Relevant college degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
  • Proven teambuilding and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines or to ensure resolution of plant problems.
  • Passionate in the pursuit of implementing process improvements.
  • Strong computer skills, including JDE experience.
  • Basic financial management skills, including analysis, budgeting, and planning.
  • English working environment with French bilingualism an asset.
