About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our housekeeping services, providing exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily duties of the Housekeeping Department, including supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide on-going training and support to housekeeping staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping Leadership team to ensure scheduling, task assignments, and projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping vehicles and equipment, including weekly inspections and maintenance.
  • Perform monthly inventory and daily control of housekeeping equipment and furniture, ensuring accurate tracking and maintenance.
  • Support employee performance reviews in conjunction with the Director of Housekeeping, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Ensure execution of daily task sheets by all housepersons in an effective and productive manner, meeting productivity targets and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate, train, and deliver service excellence to all guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through effective leadership, promoting a culture of teamwork, respect, and open communication.
  • Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned, including vacuum repairs and maintenance, and cot/crib maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience required, with a proven track record of leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Must be flexible and able to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of the property and its operations, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize duties.
  • Must be organized and able to effectively delegate duties, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Must possess a valid Alberta Driver's License.
