Job SummaryWe are seeking an Advanced Foot Care Nurse to join our team in the Greater Kingston area. The successful candidate will provide advanced foot care services to clients in clinics and in-home settings, adhering to the Canadian Nurses Association guidelines and VON policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced, basic, and diabetic foot care services in clinics and in-home settings.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams to deliver comprehensive care services.
- CURRENT REGISTRATION WITH CNO - RPN
- COMPLETION OF THE BASIC & ADVANCE FOOT CARE COURSE - CERTIFICATE
- FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATE THAT IS CURRENT
- Demonstrated skill in client assessment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to provide goal-oriented care using the nursing process and applicable standards of clinical practice
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and decision-making
- Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary health team approach to service delivery
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset in French Designated areas
- A valid driver's permit and availability of a reliable vehicle with current insurance
- CURRENT AND ORIGINAL COPY OF A SATISFACTORY CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK IS REQUIRED UPON THE START OF YOUR EMPLOYMENT
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
Estimated Salary Range:$62,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
