Merchandise Space Planner

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Space Planner to join our team at MaxSys Staffing and Consulting. As a key member of our Space Excellence team, you will be responsible for providing centralized services to support core Space Planners in the delivery of MRS-related planograms and category floor plans.

As a Merchandise Space Planner, you will design and deliver planograms and category floor plans for Merchandising and broader organizational Strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for creating and managing Modular Relay Schedules, ensuring all milestones and related statuses, risks, and mitigation plans are tracked and communicated to cross-functional stakeholders and work package owners.

You will provide quality control and administrative services to core Space Planners by conducting quality checks, ensuring document control, and completing system finalization of checked-in planograms and category floor plans. You will also provide Level 1 store support and CA technical support for issues related to category floor plans and/or planograms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and deliver planograms and category floor plans for Merchandising and broader organizational Strategic initiatives.
  2. Create and manage Modular Relay Schedules, ensuring all milestones and related statuses, risks, and mitigation plans are tracked and communicated.
  3. Provide quality control and administrative services to core Space Planners, including quality checks, document control, and system finalization.
  4. Provide Level 1 store support and CA technical support for issues related to category floor plans and/or planograms.
  5. Actively support Merchandising and broader organizational Strategic initiatives, including intake and assessment of requests, scoping, and preparation of hand-off documents.
Requirements
  1. College Certificate or Diploma
  2. 1 - 2 years of experience in Space Planning or a related field
  3. JDA Certification considered an asset
  4. Strong analytical and business acumen
  5. Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and influence
  6. Strong team player
  7. Strong Project Management skills
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
