About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interior Design Professional to join our team at Julie Charbonneau Design Inc. as a Creative Space Planner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate costs of projects and prepare detailed specifications to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs.
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information and consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, safety requirements, and purpose of space.
  • Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing the arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting, and other fixtures.
  • Collaborate with designers and architects to create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes.
  • Supervise staff or team members to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to inform design decisions.
  • Advise clients on the selection of colours, finishes, and materials, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards.
  • Develop plans, elevations, cross-sections, and detailed drawings to communicate design concepts to clients.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, InDesign, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
