About the Role

The Merchandise Planner will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability at UNIQLO. As a key member of the merchandising team, you will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, developing strategic plans, and executing tactics to achieve fiscal targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement seasonal sales plans, including gross margin and sales projections
  • Reforecast business performance in-season, identifying opportunities to maximize profits
  • Create allocation strategies to meet store inventory needs, ensuring optimal sales and minimizing stockouts
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform product assortment decisions
  • Manage inventory levels, placing orders for seasonal and replenishment product buys
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales plans and business targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics
  • 2-3 years of fashion retail merchandise buying experience
  • Previous in-store retail experience and store planning experience an asset
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with strong business and financial acumen
  • Aware of current fashion trends and customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with internal and external teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
