The Merchandise Planner is a key member of our team, responsible for driving sales and inventory growth through strategic planning and execution. As a Merchandise Planner, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales and inventory plans that meet business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Sales and Inventory Plans: Build financial sales, gross margin, and sales plans on a seasonal basis, incorporating market trends and customer needs.
  • Reforecast Business Performance: Analyze current performance and present revised projections and recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership on a weekly basis.
  • Manage Inventory Levels: Ensure that sales are optimized and stores are without missing SKUs by creating allocation strategies and managing inventory levels.
  • Place Orders and Manage Product Assortments: Place orders for seasonal and replenishment product buys, and create and plan product assortments (item, color, size) for each product category based on seasonal concepts.
  • Strategize Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet sales plans and achieve business targets.

Requirements

  • Passion for Fashion and Customer Service: A passion for fashion and customer service is essential for this role.
  • Business Acumen and Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong business and financial acumen, are required to analyze numbers and create reporting.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate and work with internal local teams and external global teams.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are required to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, is required, as well as comfort with pivot tables and lookup functions.
