Job Summary

Carpenter Hospice is a leading provider of resident-based care and community-based programs in Burlington, Ontario. We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader to join our team as Director, Strategy & Operations.

The successful candidate will support the Executive Director in building and overseeing operational and strategic priorities across program areas. This includes advancing Burlington Ontario Health Team's Integrated Palliative Care initiatives and ensuring the organization is responsive and aligned with the needs and priorities of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director in achieving priorities by serving as a strategic partner and leader.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate strategies to ensure that programs deliver high-impact services to clients.
  • Ensure current financial policies and procedures are in place and reporting formats are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective internal controls and risk management strategies are in place.
  • Coordinate the development of organizational communication materials, including the annual report to the community.
Qualifications
  • Master of Health Science or MBA considered an asset.
  • Five (5) to seven (7+) years of progressive senior leadership experience in health care required.
  • Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking, with a focus on results and impact.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to lead the integration of a complex organization and utilizing best practices in management to ensure shared success.
