The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Clerk to join our Pediatric Perioperative Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clinical leaders and performing a variety of reception and clerical duties. This includes data entry, ordering and maintaining supplies, and required transport functions in accordance with unit and Health Centre policies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to clinical leaders and team members
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Order and maintain supplies as needed
  • Transport patients and equipment as required
  • Collaborate with the Perioperative Services team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate from a recognized Office Administration Program preferred
  • Minimum of six (6) months related administrative experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology required
  • Keyboarding skills minimum of 40 wpm required, 60 wpm is preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology an asset
  • Working knowledge of Meditech, Share, Millenium, and Access E-forms software preferred
  • Working knowledge of MSM system an asset
