Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Paper Machine Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team at our Kapuskasing, ON facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and planning the team's activities to ensure the fulfillment of annual operating budgets, adherence to customer specifications, and the ongoing optimization and improvement of the paper machine manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide coaching and mentorship to employees to ensure maximum performance and a safe working environment.
- Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to improve paper manufacturing stability and efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as applicable regulations and laws.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain a communications program to keep employees informed regarding mill and department priorities, and support sound union/management/employee relations.
- Performance Management: Identify, prioritize, and support the execution of paper machine shutdown work activities, and review and monitor daily issues to support and coach operators and maintenance services.
Requirements
- Education: College Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: English, written and spoken, French is considered an asset.
