Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Paper Machine Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team at our Kapuskasing, ON facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and planning the team's activities to ensure the fulfillment of annual operating budgets, adherence to customer specifications, and the ongoing optimization and improvement of the paper machine manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide coaching and mentorship to employees to ensure maximum performance and a safe working environment.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to maximize paper machine production capability through the application of technology and best work practices.
- Operational Planning: Develop and execute operational plans to improve paper manufacturing stability on the paper machines.
- Shutdown Planning: Identify, prioritize, and support the execution of paper machine shutdown work activities.
- Issue Resolution: Review, monitor, and guide daily issues to support and coach operators and maintenance services to address daily issues that negatively impact paper machines.
Requirements
- Education: College Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: English, written and spoken, French is considered an asset.
