Job Summary
The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen activities and lead a team of culinary professionals to create exceptional dining experiences. Key responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and contributing to menu development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and resources to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement menu concepts and recipes
- Collaborate with the culinary team to achieve high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Contribute to budget development and management
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in restaurant supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or restaurant management is an asset
- Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset
- Provincial certifications for alcohol service and food preparation
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, email, and point of sale applications
