Production Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Production Team Lead to join our Grocery Department team at Farm Boy Inc. in Ontario, Canada.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Department Manager in achieving company, store, and department goals. This role involves providing superior customer service, supporting the development of the team, effectively communicating with colleagues, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and support Farm Boy's vision of delivering the best fresh shopping experience.
- Assist in developing the team by supporting training, coaching, and recognition while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
- Effectively communicate and support the team through huddles, product knowledge, corporate policies, and procedures, as well as Health and Safety protocols.
- Support floor operations, including serving customers, merchandising, rotation, breaks, and general department cleanliness.
- Contribute to office management, such as completing inventory and orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll.
- Maintain a high level of performance in a fast-paced environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary education with an emphasis in business or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- A clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools.
- Fluency in English is required; fluency in French is considered an asset.
This role requires working in a dynamic environment with:
- Multitasking and prioritizing multiple deadlines.
- Extensive data entry.
- Sitting for long periods at a workstation.
- Possible exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.
Farm Boy Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
