About the Role:

The Strategic Communications Lead will serve as a member of The Subway HR Team and part of the Global Communications Team. This role helps educate, engage and build goodwill and trust with the franchise community by creating timely communications plans and providing clear updates to the field and restaurants.

The ideal candidate will oversee content creation, editing, and delivery to support the success of franchisees and other stakeholders across our global organization. They will work collaboratively with Canadian and North American stakeholders, including the Field Communications team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic communications counsel for business initiatives, focusing on franchisee-facing content creation and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Manager, Field Communications, to produce regionally targeted materials and content for The Feed, the franchisee communications platform.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners within the business to gain insight into day-to-day happenings across initiatives and provide communications support.
  • Develop agendas and content for field events and conferences, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and messaging framework.
  • Use data analytics to inform strategic recommendations for communication with franchisees and the field.

Requirements:

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field. A minimum of 8-10 years of communications experience is necessary, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in French is an asset.

The ideal candidate should be able to create dynamic and creative content, build solid relationships and partnerships, and work effectively with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Salary Information: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (estimated), based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
