Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Operations Coordinator to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for the execution of operations and maintenance contracts for our Facility Management & Operations (FMO) division.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and track subcontracted maintenance activities, including reporting of corrective repairs or deficiencies, and escorting subcontractors on-site as required.
- Assist with the execution of subcontracted Additional Work Requests (AWRs) by performing job showings with approved subcontractors, managing the RFQ process, and coordinating awarded projects.
- Review, track, and submit project documentation, including H&S plans, shop drawings, and site plans.
- Track, analyze, and trend project costs.
- Create and update work orders and purchase orders in our CMMS system.
- Communicate with clients and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in monthly operational meetings with clients.
- Provide monthly client and internal management reports as per contract.
- Manage contract operations regarding safety, productivity, communication, and efficiency to the standards of both Black & McDonald and the client.

- Post-secondary education or trade-related experience is required.
- 1-3 years' experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Motivated with the ability to work with strict timelines in a fast-paced team environment.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Projects, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of customers, employees, and management.
- Basic knowledge of building systems and their operation.
