As a Data Governance Expert on the Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management team at National Bank, you'll act as a specialist in support of the implementation of the Bank's risk management strategy. This role will enable you to have a positive impact on the organization by taking charge of risk governance for the 2nd line of defence.

Your role will involve contributing to the development and implementation of a risk management training and awareness program for the organization, updating policies, standards, processes and methods for managing technology, cyber and data risks in line with the operational risk strategy outlined by the Technology and Cyber Risk Management sector, defining risk appetite and the associated taxonomy, monitoring risk management activities related to technology, cyber and data risk management processes, ensuring regulatory monitoring of risks and making sure internal processes and controls are consistent, participating in defining performance indicators for the Technology and Cyber Risk Management sector, acting as a trusted specialist for stakeholders in terms of technology, cyber and data risk governance, helping manage relationships with regulators, and anticipating needs and making sure the methods and alignments necessary to achieve our shared objectives are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a risk management training and awareness program for the organization
  • Update policies, standards, processes and methods for managing technology, cyber and data risks
  • Define risk appetite and the associated taxonomy
  • Monitor risk management activities related to technology, cyber and data risk management processes
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring of risks and internal controls
  • Participate in defining performance indicators for the Technology and Cyber Risk Management sector
  • Act as a trusted specialist for stakeholders in technology, cyber and data risk governance
  • Manage relationships with regulators and anticipate needs

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience in technology and/or cybersecurity and/or data risk management
  • Knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity governance in large-scale organizations
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • High level of personal integrity and ability to handle confidential matters
  • Critical thinking and synthesis skills
  • Certifications in cybersecurity and technology risk management (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP)

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
