About the Role

MADERA PROJECTS AND DESIGN LTD. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Build: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, as well as fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential establishments.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work Schedule: The position involves working with minimal supervision, overtime, and tight deadlines, with a large workload and physically demanding tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and punctuality.
