We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Leading Edge Concrete Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in our residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Layout and Measurement: Prepare accurate layouts and measurements for building projects, using a range of tools and equipment.
- Material Preparation: Cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to exact specifications.
- Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet building codes and regulations.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor other workers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Project Management: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain accurate records of project progress and completion.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Language: Fluency in English is essential for effective communication and collaboration with the team.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
