Administrative Support Specialist for Academic Association

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to provide high-level administrative support to the Faculty Association Executive and professional staff. The responsibilities of this position include providing reception services, coordinating communications, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, notes and other general office duties.

The successful candidate will be based in our office located on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide administrative support to the Faculty Association Executive and professional staff
  • Coordinate receptions, travel arrangements and other logistical tasks
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases and other systems to track information
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes and other materials
  • Organize and coordinate events, conferences and other activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • May require occasional weekend or evening work

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience
