Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Workday Payroll team, you will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and enhancing system modules to align with our collective bargaining requirements and business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Configuration: Configure and implement Workday Payroll module, including pay groups, wage grids, complex earning codes, memo codes, vacation rates, and retro adjustments.
- Change Analysis: Conduct downstream impact analyses on changes introduced to Workday Payroll, identifying potential effects on other modules and business processes.
- Configuration and Enhancement: Configure Workday and identify opportunities for enhancement and simplification to automate and streamline payroll and benefit operations.
- Documentation and Training: Complete technical specifications documents, test scenarios, test results, training, and process documentation for changes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with stakeholders to solve business issues and labour relations changes that impact pay, and communicate changes effectively to the team.
- System Upgrades and Maintenance: Support system upgrades, new releases, testing, validation, and overall performance analysis.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity within Workday and downstream systems through audit processes and analyses.
- Escalated Tickets: Respond to escalated ServiceNow tickets in a timely manner.
- Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to our shared knowledge base in ServiceNow.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business information system/human resources or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of HRIS experience in Workday; Payroll and Time Tracking modules
- Demonstrated experience with Workday payroll for unionized employees, complex collective agreements, and configurations (Counters, Wage Progression, Seniority, etc.)
- Advanced Excel experience working with large data sets utilizing advanced formulas and functionality
- Strong understanding of Payroll operations
- Strong experience troubleshooting end-user and systems interface issues and HRIS
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
- High level of confidentiality and diplomacy required
- Demonstrate the qualities of a self-starter and one who follows through on projects start to finish
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment
- Exceptional time management, project planning, and communication skills, both verbal & written
- Workday payroll certification would be an asset
What We Offer:
