Job Summary

Western Pizza is seeking a highly skilled and organized Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Food Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary standards.
    • Estimate food requirements and ensure that our inventory is adequate to meet demand.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that food is prepared and cooked to our high standards.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have what we need to meet customer demand.
    • Monitor and maintain records of inventory levels and usage.
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure that our kitchen and work areas are clean and safe for staff and customers.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Organized and able to multitask.
    • Team player with excellent communication skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Environment
    • 40 hours per week.
